about music is a key part of Frances's musical life. A keen
concert-goer, she writes regular music reviews for her blog, and also

writing a regular column on aspects of piano playing for 'Pianist'
magazine's online content, Frances also contributes guest posts to other

"The Cross-Eyed Pianist - a must-read for the keyboard inclined" (Jessica Duchen, writer and music journalist)
She
is a passionate advocate of amateur pianism and co-hosts, with Lorraine
Liyanage, the London Piano Meetup Group, which organises performance
platforms, masterclasses and social events for adult amateur pianists in
and around London. Another recent initiative is the South London
Concert Series, an innovative concert series which promotes young and
emerging professional pianists and offers amateur musicians the
opportunity to perform in the same formal concert setting.
Frances
is a founder member of Clockwork Classics, an international collective
of musicians who believe in the creative freedom to produce recordings
and give concerts without the constraints of a traditional record label
and promoter.
A graduate of the University of Exeter, Frances
holds a Licentiate Diploma (Distinction) in Piano Performance from
Trinity College of Music, London, and studies with Penelope Roskell,
professor of piano and piano pedagogy at Trinity-Laban Conservatoire of
Music and Dance, London. Frances has also participated in masterclasses
