BiographyEN- I was born born in 1990 in Milan, descended from a Sardinian family. I grew up in Cagliari and now, back in Milan, I have been graduated at the "Liceo Classico Carducci" high school, and I study harp at the "Giuseppe Verdi" conservatoire; as soon as possible (when I will do all the complementary exams that are necessary) I will also enter a conduction class.
As Conductor, from 2009 to 2011 I have led the "Carducci" collegiate orchestra, set up in 2009, which had made successfully its public début on May 14th 2011 at the youth music festival "Giovani e Giovanissimi in Concerto", with the second movement of Respighi's symphonic poem "Pines of Rome": "Pini presso una Catacomba".
In june 2011, we also gave a good performance of "Il vecchio castello" by Modest Mussorgskij, The opening movement from "Also sprach Zarathustra" by Richard strauss, and "Peer Gynt Suite n° 1", by Edvard Grieg, expecially of the last piece "In the hall of the Mountain King". In 2012 I worked also with the ICM youth orchestra of Milan, with the adaptation for baroque orchestra of Boccherini's "Night Music of the Streets of Madrid", and I have been a guest conductor with the "Martesana Youth Orchestra". In May 2013 I've attended to the "Conducting Weekend" masterclass, at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. As harpist, although at conservatoire I apply myself to the classical concert repertoire, I'm also interested in other kinds of music, such as jazz and folk, and I have attended various workshops, seminars and masterclasses, with Bernard Andrés, Maria Rosa Calvo-Manzano, Luisa Prandina, Park Stickney and Tristan LeGovic. IT- Sono nato a Milano nel 1990 da una famiglia originaria della Sardegna. Sono cresciuto a Cagliari e ora, di nuovo a Milano, mi sono diplomato al Liceo Classico "Carducci", e studio arpa al conservatorio "Giuseppe Verdi"; il più presto possibile (quando avrò dato tutti gli esami complementari necessari) entrerò in un corso di direzione d'orchestra.
Come direttore, dal 2009 al 2011 ho diretto l'orchestra scolastica "Carducci", costituita nel 2009, che ha debuttato pubblicamente con successo il 14 maggio 2011 alla rassegna "Giovani e Giovanissimi in Concerto", con il secondo movimento del poema sinfonico di Respighi "Pini di Roma": "Pini presso una Catacomba".
Nel mese di giugno 2011 abbiamo anche dato delle buone interpretazioni de "Il vecchio castello" di Modest Mussorgskij, del movimento introduttivo da "Così parlò Zarathustra" di Richard Strauss, e della "Peer Gynt Suite n° 1" di Edvard Grieg, specialmente dell'ultimo brano "Nell'antro del Re della Montagna". Nel 2012 ho lavorato anche con l'orchestra giovanile ICM di Milano, con un adattamento per orchestra barocca de "La Musica Notturna delle Strade di Madrid" di Boccherini, e sono stato un direttore ospite dell' "Orchestra Giovanile della Martesana". Nel mese di maggio 2013 ho invece partecipato alla masterclass "Conducting Weekend" presso il Royal Northern College of Music di Manchester. Come arpista, sebbene al conservatorio mi dedichi allo studio del repertorio classico, sono interessato anche a diversi generi musicali, come il jazz ed il folk, e ho seguito vari seminari e masterclass, con Bernard Andrés, Maria Rosa Calvo-Manzano, Luisa Prandina Park Stickney e Tristan LeGovic. |
