I am obsessed with creating music for my painting. In the end, music needs graphic symbols to be executed by musicians. Each of my artworks is like a score; each element of the work contains a sound meaning. On the other hand, the theme of my art is favoriting by the musicality of my painting. How to represent beauty in the decadence of our society? How to break with the tradition of contemporary art, which to be fashionable must be ugly and grotesque? To break this contemporary art tradition (which already becomes Canon), that´s why my painting has music. In 2010 I left Cuba. Now I live in Syracuse, NY; here, I create my art and work on my art projects.
