BiographyMARYLIN FRASCONE, pianist
Popular with both the press and critics, compared to the young Martha Argerich, MARYLIN FRASCONE is first of all characterised by her imagination and the profoundly poetic lyricism of her performances.
Her artistic charisma and extraordinary instrumental skill were developed under the influence of two cultures: that of France, where she took her first piano lessons in Paris with Annie d’Arco and Vadim Sakharov, and that of Russia, where she attended the classes of Natalia Trull and Sergueï Dorensky at the Tchaïkovsky Conservatory in Moscow thanks to a grant from the French Ministry of Culture.
MARYLIN FRASCONE gave her first concerts at the age of 12 and caused a sensation in Radio France and in the Salle Gaveau in Paris. Since winning her first Grand Prize at the International Chopin Competition in Marienbad (Czech Republic) in 1995, she has been a regular guest at performances in Europe, Asia and Brazil.
She performs at a number of festivals among which La Roque d’Anthéron, La Grange de Meslay, Radio France Montpellier, Classical Midem, Flâneries de Reims with the Lille National Orchestra (conductor : J.C Casadesus) and the Ebène Quartet, in the Shostakovich concerto N°1 with trumpet player Bernard Soustrot and the Ensemble Cordes 21 orchestra (conductor : O.Grangean) ... Tokyo tur, Berlin, Sintra Festival Mùsica e Dança (Portugal), Podgorica (with the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra - conductor : Alexey Shatskiy), Chopin in Duzhniki Zdroj (Poland), Montbenon Casino in Lausanne (Switzerland), "O Ana Da França No Brasil" in Sao Paulo (Brasil)...
She has also been chosen by the French Alliances for Master-Classes in Brazil, Indonesia, Japan and Russia.
Her recordings of "Fantasies for piano" (Integral Classic 2010), Liszt/Ravel (Integral Classic 2009), Mussorgsky/Chopin (Integral Classic 2008) and Liszt live recording (Transart/Naïve 2007) have been duly noted and prized by the specialist press (Gramophone Magazine, Geijutsu Magazine, Nikkei Evening, Diapason Magazine, Le Monde De La Musique...).
MARYLIN FRASCONE is also member of the Jury at the International Piano Competition "The Muse" in Greece

Prisée par la presse et comparée à la jeune Martha Argerich par les critiques français, MARYLIN FRASCONE se reconnaît d’abord à son imagination musicale profondément poétique. Son charisme artistique et son habileté instrumentale hors du commun se sont développés sous l’influence de deux cultures : La France où elle prend ses premières leçons de piano avec Annie d’Arco et Vadim Sakharov, puis la Russie, où elle entre, grâce à une bourse du Ministère Français de la Culture, dans les classes de Natalia Trull et Sergeï Dorensky au Conservatoire Tchaïkovsky de Moscou.

Depuis son premier Grand Prix au Concours International Chopin de Marienbad en Rép. Tchèque qu’elle remporte en 1995, elle est invitée régulièrement à se produire en Europe, en Asie et au Brésil. Elle participe à de nombreux Festivals dont La Roque d’Anthéron, La Grange de Meslay, Radio France Montpellier, le Midem, Flâneries de Reims avec l'Orchestre National de Lille / direction : J.C Casadesus et avec le Quatuor Ebène, à Lille avec le trompettiste Bernard Soustrot et l'ENsemble Orchestral Cordes 21 / dir : O. Grangean dans le concerto n.1 de Chostakovitch... Tokyo, Berlin, Festival de Sintra Mùsica e Dança (Portugal), Podgorica (avec l'Orchestre Symphonique du Monténégro / direction : Alexey Shatskiy, Chopin à Duzhniki Zdroj (Pologne), Casino de Montbenon à Lausanne (Suisse), "Année de la France au Brésil" à Sao Paulo...
Elle est également choisie par les Alliances Françaises pour donner des Master-Classes au Brésil, Indonésie, Japon et Russie.
Ses enregistrements "Fantaisies pour piano" (Intégral Classic 2010), Liszt/Ravel (Intégral Classic 2009), Moussorgsky/Chopin (Intégral Classic 2008) et Liszt enregistrement en concert (Transart/Naïve 2007) ont été dûment remarqués et primés par la presse spécialisée (Diapason d'Or, "Choc" du Monde De La Musique, Gramophone, Geijutsu Magazine, Nikkei Evening...).
