Helix! – the new music ensemble at Rutgers, will light
up NYC’s hippest new music venue, LPR (le poisson rouge), presenting
back-to-back concerts: one at 5:30pm and one at 8:30pm. Titled Helix!
and Friends, this stellar group will present over 18 works from Rutgers
faculty (former & current) as well as many world premieres by
Rutgers students. There is everything from James Brown Funk, to vocal
music, to complexity, to electronics, jazz and film music. Musical
miniatures from Aldridge, Muhly, Hindson, Wourinen, Fussell as well as
world premieres from Rutgers University composers.
