PROGRAM: Patricia Kopatchinskaja, violinBartók: Solo Sonata Enescu: “Ménétrier” from “Impressions d’enfance,” Op. 28 Kurtág: selections from “Signs, Games, and Messages” for violin solo Violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja’s repertoire ranges from baroque and classical (often played on gut strings) to a number of new commissions or re-interpretations of modern masterworks. 2012/13 sees Patricia Kopatchinskaja appear with WDR Sinfonieorchester, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and the Iceland Symphony and Finnish Radio Symphony orchestras. She will also perform with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Vladimir Jurowski (both at London’s Royal Festival Hall and in mainland Europe). She has been re-invited for performances with both the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and also continues her regular collaborations with Orchestre des Champs-Élysées and Camerata Salzburg.
