Italian pianist, Roberto Prosseda’s sensational discovery of new Mendelssohn works made headlines in Europe and lead to three Decca releases. His "Mendelssohn Discoveries" album (2005) has been included in the top 10 Mendelssohn piano recordings by the magazine "Piano". "Mendelssohn Rarities" (2006) received highest ratings in European and American music magazines including Classicstoday, USA (9/9), Diapason, France (5 diapasons), Amadeus, Italy (5/5 and best CD of the month) and Fono Forum, Germany (5/5). His third double CD album of “Lieder Ohne Worte” also received great critical acclaim, including Chamber Music CD of the Month in the UK’s Classic FM magazine. His 2009 live recording of Mendelssohn's 3rd Piano Concerto with the Gewandhaus Orchestra and Riccardo Chailly won the "Diapason d'Or of the Month" and the "CHOC de Classica".
