Biography

Martín Mateo Laguía was born in 1989 in Teruel (Aragón-Spain). In the year 2000, he began to study at the Municipal Conservatory of Music in Teruel, where he finished the elementary level and where he graduated with honorary mention, studying under the teacher Maria del Carmen Alcodori. After that, he was studying two years with Professor Ricardo Requejo in “Musikene” (País Vasco-Spain). At the moment he continues his musical career at the Superior Conservatory of Music “Salvador Seguí” in Castellón, with Professor Brenno Ambrosini.

He has performed as a soloist in many times at the “Space for culture Caja Madrid” in cities like Madrid or Ciudad Real, at “Fundación Eutherpe” in León, at “Casa de Cantabria” in Madrid, and for “Jeunesses Musicales Spain”. This year he played in Huesca, Madrid and Teruel, in collaboration with Ibercaja and CAI.

He attended numerous masterclasses and courses in Piano Technique and Interpretation with teachers Rafael García, Albert Nieto, Mario Monreal, Julio César Setién, Olga Semouchina, Iván Cítera and Brenno Ambrosini.

Second prize at the “XI Alcañiz Chamber Music Competition”. In the year 2010 he received a grant to continue the studies of piano, granted by Ibercaja and Aragón Government (Spain), in a public competition.
