BiographyNuccio Trotta Pianist Biography Born in 1965, after only two year of piano courses, obtains his first piano prize being placed 4th (piano 4 hands) at 3rd Italian Competition "Città di Albenga". After an year with the same chamber duo wins another prize at 14th “Coppa Pianisti d'Italia Città di Osimo". He obtains at 22 years the diploma of superior accomplishment on the piano, under the guidance of maestro V. Ferrari at the conservatory in Bari (Italy) with excellent marks.
He reachs this goal only in 7 years (instead of 10) for his particular love toward the music and for his special musical and pianistic skills.
He earns immediately success with the audiences and awards in piano competitions in Italy thanks to his natural artistic sensitivity and musical intelligence. At the same time he continues his studies with maestri of international renown (Adam Wibrowski, Marie Françoise Bucquet, Sergei Dorenski, Michele Marvulli) in Italy as well as abroad also in prestigious Academies (e.g. Mozarteum in Salzburg (AT). During his studies Mr. Sergey Dorensky (piano teacher in Moscow conservatory and pupil of Igumnow that was a Scriabin’ pupil), Scala, Cafaro and Fiorentino recognized a particular capability and skill for the music of russian composer Alexander Scriabin when he played the 6th Sonata Op.62.
Later he is admitted into the Biella academy of advanced post-graduate studies being pupil of the well known pianist and maestro Aldo Ciccolini."the music flows in your blood", "You can everithing with your hands!" were the opinions that this legendary pianist said meeting for the first time Nuccio. He pursues his studies with stages under the guidance of Mr. Pierluigi Camicia obtaining certificates o merit.
In the years ‘92 and ‘93 this pianist was in a first class theatral project for two recital tour (about 200 dates) in all the Italian peninsula playing with the piano an complex sound-track for Molière, Strindberg and Pirandello works. His experience includes also chamber and lyric music playing with different ensembles in concerts and competition.
His repertory ranges from the dawn of the piano to the 20th century touching all “lands” of pianistic writing. Nuccio Trotta is also a virtuoso of his instrument but his virtuosistic skills are always under the guidance of this musician to explain and tell the rich pianistic language and not to show the capability of this pianist. The goal that he has always set is the achievement of an equilibrium in the artistic performance; an equilibrium surely generated by the synthesis of the analytical knowledge of the musical score combined with the rendering of the emotional content. It is evident that this is not easy to achieve and that for this artist is in continuous experimentation because:
"For me, music is a journey to the center of myself that will end only my last day..." |
