Richard Ozanne My mother: Patricia Benkman appears at an angle third tier up from Harold Bauer- a noted pianist and performer of the period. She studied with Bauer, Egon Petri, Isabella Vengerova, Marcel Maas and was noted for her technique and musicality during her career- She was recipient of the Leopold Prize for music and sent to Belgium in 1940 for study. My mother was one of the first woman soloists with the San Francisco Symphony in her debut. She played many concerts in solo performance across the United States as well as appeared with the New York Symphony.
