Biography

Alona Dekusha was born in 1989. Started play piano at the age of six. She graduated from Kyiv High Music College, class of Irina Gavrylyuk. Since 2008 studying at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, class of Honored Artist, Professor Alla Kaschenko. She took part in the International Master Classes with famous pianists such as Michail Voskresensky (Russia),Eugen Indjic (USA), Andrzej Jasiński, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń (Poland), Irina Rumiancewa (Russia-Poland), Zuzana Niederdorfer- Paulechowa (Slovakia), Elżbieta Stefańska (harpsichord).

Alona is a winner of the following regional and international competitions: The International Competition “XXI Century Art” (Diploma; III-prize, Vorzel), National Competition of young pianists (II-prize; Donetsk), Olena Verykivska regional competition of young pianists (I-prize, Kyiv), Vladimir Pukhalsky regional competition of young pianists (Diploma, Kyiv), and Competition on 95-th anniversary of the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine (I-prize, Kyiv). She is a laureate of the International Competition for young pianists in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz (group Horowitz-Debut), XI International Juliusz Zarębski Music Competition (chamber ensemble) - 3 prize. 

Participated at the International Music festival “Kyiv Summer Musical Evenings”, “Musical season premieres”; Festiwal "Muzyka w świetle księżyca",Międzynarodowe Forum Pianistyczne "Bieszczady bez granic" . International festival of arts :” Dialogue of Cultures” and festival “Shevchenkivsky berezen, ”. She has performed concerts in Ukraine (Kyiv, Chernigiv, Cherkassy, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Uzhgorod and Simferopol) Poland and Slovakia.  

She performed with symphonic orchestras of Ukraine Piano Concerts by R. Schumann and L. van Beethoven (№3, №5); conductors A.Vlasenko and M. Sukach, Chamber orchestra "Academy", conductor I. Pylatiuk.
