BiographyBorn in Naples , into a family of non-musicians, he started improvizing at the piano at the age of three and made his début as a child prodigy , at the age of seven, at the Maurizio Costanzo Show, one of the most popular Italian TV programs. He started studying piano with prof. Carlo Alessandro Lapegna and later with prof. Vincenzo Balzani. He took his Master degree with the highest distinction from the Conservatorio di Musica "G. Verdi" in Milan and he developed his music skills with such artists as Vincenzo Balzani, Boris Petrushansky, Antonio Pompa- Baldi, Marcello Abbado, Sergio Perticaroli, Enrico Pace, Aldo Ciccolini, Leonid Margarius, Leonel Morales and Vsevolod Dvorkin. Mr. Alvino is currently a student of the prestigious Accademia Pianistica "Incontri col Maestro"in Imola, under the guide of the pianist and musicologist Piero Rattalino. He is laureate of numerous national and international piano competitions, among others: Rotary Competition for young musical talents, National Piano Competition "Lia Tortora” of Latina, International Piano Competition "Roma 2006", International Piano Competition "Vietri sul Mare", International Competition "Città di Caserta - Belvedere di San Leucio", European Contest for Young Musicians "Luigi Denza", European Grand Prize "Mendelssohn Cup". He carries on an intense concert activity which makes him play in important Italian venues and festivals, among others: Archaelogical Museum, Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Sala Chopin, Sala Napolitano, Sala Martucci and the historical Scarlatti Hall in Naples, Teatro Parioli in Rome, Dino Ciani Festival , Ravello Festival, Teatro Verdi in Salerno, Palazzo Doria Panphili in Valmontone, Palazzo Albrizzi in Venice, Circolo "A.Volta”, Palazzo Cusani and Sala Puccini in Milan and International "Dino Ciani" Festival in Stresa. He has been invited to play for the Associazione Dino Ciani, Associazione Napolinova, Associazione Rotary International, A.Gi.Mus, "W.Walton" Foundation in Ischia , Società dei Concerti in Milan. In 2009 he played at the concert in honour of the birthday of Elizabeth II, organized by the Dino Ciani Association, at the NATO base in Solbiate Olona.
In
2010 he has been invited to play for the International Holocaust
Remembrance Day at the Prefect of Benevento. His young pupils are prizewinners in national and international piano competitions. |
