Born in Rome into a family of long musical tradition, the Italian conductor Dario Silveri began his career as a cellist, then he devoted his musical life exclusively to Conducting.

 

He studied Conducting at the Civica Scuola Claudio Abbado in Milan (Italy) with R. Rivolta. He attended the course with M. Sieghart at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (Austria) and in St. Petersburg (Russia) with J. Brett.

He specialized in France with George Pehlivanian and with the great American conductor he also earned a Postgraduate Degree at the Superior Conservatory Katarina Gurska in Madrid (Spain), then he became Maestro Pehlivanian’s Assistant Conductor.

He has conducted various ensembles, chamber and symphony orchestras, including the "German National Chamber Orchestra", the "Savaria Symphony Orchestra", the "St. Petersburg State Hermitage Orchestra", the "Orquesta de Conservatorios de Madrid", the "Kammerorchester Bach"; the 2014-2015 season has marked a milestone in the young conductor’s career: he made his debut on the podiums of the Berliner Philharmonie, Palais de Bozar in Bruxelles and Gewandhaus zu Leipzig, with sensational success.

 

Dario Silveri’s career as a conductor has been enriched by almost two decades of extensive work as an acclaimed chamber and orchestra musician.

 

He studied Cello with V. Vallini at the Conservatory of Music in Perugia (Italy), where he graduated Summa cum Laude.Winner of numerous prizes and scholarships, afterwards he earned a Postgraduate Degree in "Chamber Music" at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome (Italy), where he studied with F. Ayo and R. Filippini.Later he obtained a Masters Degree in "Chamber Music of the Twentieth Century for Strings", Summa cum Laude, at the Conservatory of Music in Perugia, under the guidance of P. Bučan.

 

He performed as a member of distinguished symphonic orchestras and chamber music ensembles at the most prestigious concert halls internationally (Royal Albert Hall in London, BMW Edge Theatre Hall in Melbourne, Verbrugghen Hall in Sydney, Palau de la Música in Barcelona, Arena di Verona, Grand Theatre-National Opera in Warsaw, Filarmonica George Enescu in Bucharest, Grande Auditorio Gulbenkian in Lisbon, etc.).

 

He collaborated for almost ten years with the renowned baroque chamber orchestra "I Solisti Veneti", with whom he performed and toured the most important theatres and musical institutions in Italy (Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, Teatro Verdi in Trieste, Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, Sala Verdi in Milan, Senato della Repubblica Italiana, Auditorium Conciliazione in Rome, Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo, Auditorium Haydn in Bolzano, etc.) and all over the world (Australia, Malaysia, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Thailand, Portugal, Romania, Bangladesh, Poland, Vietnam, etc.).

 

Thanks to his great eclecticism and versatility, he became a member of the "PMCE - Parco della Musica Contemporary Ensemble" of the new Auditorium in Rome, distinguishing himself in Italy as a performer of modern and contemporary music.

He had the opportunity to work with some of the biggest contemporary composers, such as Steve Reich; he has moreover collaborated for years with the Academy Award winner Ennio Morricone, giving concerts and tours all around the world, and recording dozens of CDs and many soundtracks for the Movie Industry and Television.

 

At the same time he cultivated his deepest interest, orchestra Conducting; ever since he was a child, his devotion to Mahler’s Work led him to study all the great masterpieces of the symphonic repertoire and prepared the ground for his new musical life.Conducting has proved to be his path from the very start; famous musicians and Maestros immediately recognized his innate mastery, so that the authentic and natural vocation for Conducting has rapidly lead him to devote his career exclusively to this.
