Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has awarded AED185 million agreement to provide, expand, and commence a 27km main water transmission network in Jebel Ali, UAE

This supports DEWA’s tactical design to progress the competence and consistency of its water network to deal with demand development and amplify water flow in Dubai.

A top official from DEWA  stated that the they are working to enhance the competence of its operations, and multiply water flows to meet the increasing demand for water in several parts of Dubai and support the sustainable progress of the Emirate.

The project incorporates the expansion of glass reinforced epoxy main water pipelines of 1,200mm in diameter and 27km in length, to boost water flow along the Jebel Ali-Al Hebab Road. The project will help to meet growing demand for water in Nakhli, Al Aweer, Al Qudra, and Dubai International Endurance City, also to projects along Al Ain road.

Isolated monitoring and control systems and automatic valves will be incorporated so that breakdowns along the major water transmission networks can be simply noticed and rapidly fixed. This will provide to lessen water losses within the network.

The project will take 28 months as programmed, and it will be intimately managed to guarantee that it is achieved on time.

The outfit that protected the agreement has not been divulged.
